 Happy Birthday Dynamix

Wednesday saw our training space fill up with friends, family and members of the local community to join in with our 20th Birthday celebrations.

To celebrate 20 years of Participation, Inclusion, Play, Cooperation and Enterprise we opened our door to one and all to play games, make dens, decorate biscuits, eat cake and have fun :-)

Spice it up survey - Please help

We are currently writing 2 new books of methods, Spice it up for under 11's and a book about exploring childrens rights. We could do with feedback on how people currently use Participation Spice It Up so we can think about how to shape the new books. Go to the following link. Cheers.

Urdd Eisteddfod

Dynamix have been in outside the Wales Millenium Centre, Cardiff this week for the Urdd Eisteddfod (25th - 29th May) the Welsh Language Festival for young people.

Monday and Tuesday were full of circus skills and on Friday we'll be running a consultation on the site about school transport. We'll be spicing it all up with parachute games and the usual array of participative methods to engage people.

Keep an eye out for us on S4C and BBC Cymru.

Your Voice, Your Choice, Your Mini Guide!

Dynamix and Continyou are currently at work on a mini-guide for group leaders of all youth groups who have had Your Voice, Your Choice training. The guide will show how trainers have worked in a variety of ways to engage seldom-heard young people in Wales and work with them to expand their knowledge and enthusiam about participation.

The guide will feature case studies from trainers and signposting for leaders; helping to bridge the gap between receiving training and turning it into a sustainable way of working with young people. A limited run of the publication will be available free to groups who have received the training and will be downloadable from this site and from Continyou. Expected to launch December '09.

Bye Bye Barney. Bye Bye Chris.

Dynamix is sad to announce that Chris and Barney, who both joined at the same time in 2000, are leaving together too. Over the years they have helped us develop the 'Green Wing' whilst supporting the co-operative in general.

Chris was instrumental in developing the new office and training room whilst Barney played a key role in projects such as those with Caerphilly Woodland Trust and Parc Prison.

While we wish them all the best, don't think we're letting them go that easily as they will be working with us on specific projects in the future.
