What is Dynamix?

We are a workers’ co-operative which means that all of our workers jointly own and run our business.

What do you do?

Dynamix provides training and facilitation, packs and publications that help people to explore serious issues in a fun way. We aim to promote social change and equality and this is reflected in our methods, which are participative, empowering and inclusive.

Who do you work for?

Anyone who wants to create change for the better in their organisation or community.

Who funds you?

We are mostly funded by the people we work for. Some projects are funded by larger grants from bodies such as Co-operative Action or the European Union.

Where do you work?

Our office is based in Swansea but Dynamix workers spend a lot of time on the road, travelling all over the UK. We can even be found working as far afield as Italy and Finland, Denmark, Turkey, Tanzania and Bejing! 

How long have you been going?

Dynamix was established in 1988 and has been growing ever since.

How many of you are there?

There are currently 15 members of Dynamix.

What do we do?

Workers have 3 main tasks: Office management, development work and training. There is also a growing demand for marketing, consultation, writing, design and research but at present no separate posts to undertake these tasks.

What are the backgrounds of your trainers?

Our core trainers’ backgrounds cover community work, community arts, education, youth work, computing, global citizenship, environment, substance misuse, languages, parenting, nursing, social work, play and music.
